Increasing the effect

Courses often have a high level of satisfaction, but their effect may not be as impressive. Our job is to ensure that what participants learn actually improves their competencies and behaviours. This is now possible with the EPO Academy platform, a learning management system that allows courses to stretch beyond their meeting days.

What does the system do?

Participants can log on to the platform from their computer, tablet or smartphone. This makes learning portable and able to be fit into any busy workday. Training is prepared in bite-size units in different formats: podcasts that can be listened to in the car; videos that can be watched in the queue at the post office; an article can be read at home on an iPad. 

All course material is presented in a user-friendly format. Participants get their own individual login and receive notifications when new material is available.

Before

With EPO Academy, we can thoroughly assess participants’ needs and design the course accordingly.  

Before training begins, participants receive an introductory video from their trainer that includes a survey. The answers will help the trainer assess what participants hope to get out of the course. If their responses indicate specific issues that needs to be addressed they will be prioritised during the course.

These tools allow us to make sure our courses are highly relevant for participants from the get-go.

During

If your course is composed of several modules spanning several days – such as our preferred 1+1 days format –  EPO Academy will be used between the course sessions. For example, participants will be asked to log on to EPO Academy to review videos of their performance on stage during the first day, and to apply what they have learned to their presentations before next course day.

After

After the course, participants receive tailored follow-up material. This is more than just a PDF of the course material: EPO Academy participants have access to videos, research articles, exercises and much more for up to two months after completing a course. 

EPO Academy’s follow-up material is tailored to each participant based on the improvement areas agreed on during the course. This increases the likelihood of participants applying the tools and techniques they learn during training.
